I spent some time with my favorite Bethy today!! :D We did a quick little shoot in-between our little walk. :)

My theme for this shoot was concrete. Don't ask me why, but when I saw her outfit I had this moment where I went "we're doing a shoot with concrete." haha :D

Pre-spring

Happy March everyone!

The month of March marks our 1 year anniversary since going to Italy. Let me tell you, I miss that place so much! Some things from our trip feel like they were just yesterday, and other things feel like a dream... I think I miss the food most. ;P In case you were wondering, Americans can't make good bread to save their lives. I miss bread from Italy so much. We've been on the hunt for a year now and we've yet to find a good place that makes it like Italy. :(

I've been rocking all my pre-spring outfits! Which consist of white v-necks, cardigans, and scarves. But not just any scarves, my Italian scarves. :]



I hope you all are enjoying the pre-spring weather and are rocking your own scarves!

Workshop

Hello friends!

I've got some exciting news for you. I'm hosting my first ever workshop!

I've pretty much been doing a little jig around my house all day. I'm so excited to do this with you all & my Dad! I was receiving a lot of interest in people asking to shadow me, & learn about their camera, so I thought having a one day workshop where we could do all of this and possibly have a random dance party while doing it would just be wonderful. ;) I really believe in investing into amateur photographers because a photographer invested in me. My Dad has been doing photography for over 20 years, and when it comes to technical stuff, he's the man. So, he will be leading that part and I'll be doing the business side. I'm really looking forward to getting a chance to work one on one with each person, so I'll definitely be making my rounds! I also look forward to showing all my random quirks that I do during a shoot because we will being doing an actual couple shoot at the end! :) I'll also be taking headshots for each person so they can use them in their blog if they need to. Dad & I are really excited about this!

"Like" it

I've never been good at running.. You know that random kid who nobody wants on their team because they can't run to save their lives? Yeah, that's me. My New Year's resolution was to be healthier, so yesterday I decided I should go on a run. So I put on my lipstick, pink running pants, cute shirt, favorite earrings, and headed out. I'm pretty sure I've insulted every runner across America. My "run" turned into a jog for 2 blocks, walk for 3, jog for 1, walk for 2....& then sprint home on the last leg. (Yeah, that's right, I sprinted.) So, it was bad, but I really wanted to be able to run like everybody else! Feeling unwanted is just not that great. ;) Speaking of feeling unwanted... I finally caved and got a facebook fan page yesterday! So, please help me feel like there are people out there who read my blog, and like it! This is also a really good way of getting to know me more personally because, yes, I will update it!

Maybe that was a lame attempt at getting you all to like it, but here's the real reason. I've been working on a special project for a while, and it's really starting to come together. Probably by the end of this week it will be finished, and i'm not announcing it on here first. The good ole facebook pages is getting dibs. So make sure you keep looking because it's going to be pretty big deal!

Also, hit me up with what you think of my new logo! That's just a little teaser of what's to come for the blog. :D

Now, if you'll excuse me, my body has sharp pains running through it and i'm coughing all the time. Yay for being an asthma kid?

{It's coming, I can feel it.}

Hello Friends!

All of us Maryland-ers are just loving this February weather. 70 degrees and sunshine! Very out of character for us. I'm actually starting to feel summer and realizing that, yes, it is going to come. (It's been a long winter... ;]) Once again, I mentioned on my facebook status about doing a shoot in this weather! Which brings us to Natalia & Krystal.

I love doing shoots at my grandfathers farm. There are so many different places to shoot and I really never get tired of it. :)

Our shoot was themed as "Frolic". A very laid back, easy going, just enjoyable shoot spent "frolicking" in nature with the warm weather. :)

I am such a fan of these girls, separately, and together. They are both uber outgoing and spunky, so when the three of us get together it's a pretty great time. :D

Krystal is such a joy! She's always there to laugh with, cry with, act like you're 5 with... ;) She has totally change how I look at life, because she appreciates the little things so much!

I just really really love her. Our random times are so special. Not many girls will run to a park with you in-between classes so you can swing and act like total 3 year olds. :D

One of the things we have on the farm is a hay barn. With the afternoon light seeping in, everything was calm, silent, but still ever exciting for us. I opened the door to go in and Krystal goes "quick, we're going to Narnia! Get in!"

We left the door open so all the golden sunlight started coming in, and I was in photography light heaven. :)

Simply beautiful.

Oh gosh, this was so funny! Right when Natalia did this, the wind came in and totally gave her the dramatic hair. It's like I had a fan on her, and the timing could not have been better.

Krystal is a lover of bracelets. :D

It can be this simple {Personal}

I love argyle. Always have, always will. It's classic, yet outgoing, yet trendy, all at the same time. I have an argyle purse, argyle socks, sweaters, pens, T-shirts... When people ask me what to get for my birthday or Christmas I reply by saying "If it's argyle, i'll love it." Reason #16 why I have the best clients ever, they gifted me with an argyle umbrella, because they just know me that well. :D

I love dancing. I like to think that I can, but really, I can't. But that's not gonna stop me from dancing in the street with snow pouring down.

I love bursts of color.

I love looking up at God with gratitude.

I love my new red hat. My red hat that my amazing friend made for me. I love that my new red hat just happens to match my new red scarf even though I didn't buy them together. I love red in snow.

I love saying "Wa bam". It's my new favorite word. When i'm on shoots i'll make sound affects for my camera like "Wa bam" and "Wa chaaa!" This, is a wa bam picture. :D

I love snow.

I love over exposed pictures.

&& I love my black coat.

Snow {Julie}

We got snow today!! :D Which I love. (And not just because it canceled FCC, though that was a plus. ;P) I love snow because the whole world just becomes Narnia to me, and everything is so still and peaceful. :)

I posted on my facebook status about offering a free photoshoot to celebrate this wondrous stuff, and Julie said she could make it! :D I've been dying to do some pictures in the road with the snow covered trees framing the faces. :) Most of time was spent racing in and out of the streets and me sliding all over the place, but ya know, it was fun. :D

"Go frolic in the snow!" hehe :D

I've also had this daisy umbrella that i've been dying to use at a shoot to bring a burst of color. Nothing needs more color then a white blanket of snow! :)

Wa chaa. Somebody's pretty. :D
