Sister Shoot.

I did a quick sister shoot for my friends on Saturday. I've known Gwen & Ellen my entire life. Their mother passed away 2 years ago because of breast cancer, and their Dad is now re-marying to a wonderful woman named Norma. Gwen asked me to do a sister shoot since they would be gaining another sister and I was happy to oblige. :)





We did the shoot right when the sun was setting, which I have never done before, but i'm happy with how they came out. ^_^

Family Shoot-Settles

I had a total blast shooting the Settles on Saturday. Rachael is my very best friend who I have known my enitre life, and I love her family to pieces. There are a total of 8 kids, but 1 is in Cambodia and the other is at College. Amanda, the oldest, has been in Oregon, and the family really wanted some pictures with her when she came home.


This lighting brought to you by a very sunny day at 3pm. Pretty much the worst lighting I ever had to deal with. SO harsh!


Mrs. Settle had 2 back to back sets of twins. Both Boy & Girl. (Richard, On the right, is twins with Rachael, one the bottom left. George is twins with Danielle, bottom right.) Although George & Rachael are buddies, & Richard & Danielle are buddies.

Family Shoot. Take two.

Oh boy, life has been SO crazy lately! With the school year starting I have been swamped. Don't worry, I am still doing lots of shoots and will be staring at my lightroom A LOT this week getting all of them edited. I will be blogging more soon!

So, as you all know, I shot the Remsberg family a couple weeks back. Well, their pictures did not turn out suuuper fab, so we all decided that a re-do was in order. This time, we went to a much better location, and didn't have to deal with the uneven sunlight from the trees. Check it out!









I am officially in love with the holding hands shot. It's becoming one of my defining shots.

Yay to the ness. Lightroom Purchase!

School has officially started, so blog posts will not be as frequent. :(

Buuttttt.. I am going to be the proud owner of lightroom! It should come this Monday, and i'm pretty darn stoked. :D It will be such a good tool for my business, and it's my first big purchase since the internship. This is something that can grow with my business and be a really great tool. Kristen would be so proud. ^_^

Surprise!

I attended Mrs. Peachey's surprise birthday party on Sunday. The weather could not have been better, and it was a wonderful time. Mrs. Peachey strives to serve her children and husband through everything. It is truly inspiring.

She was totally shocked and the tears of joy started flowing as soon as she realized what was happening.


This was so cute! My dad was on top of the stairs getting pictures when Rachel crawled up the stairs, plunked herself down and gave a big "look what I did" grin. It was the sweetest thing, since my Dad has been working on a friendship with her for over a year. :)


Mrs. Peachey is so loved and cared for.
