Josh & Jenn {Wedding}

Josh & Jenn met in the library of Hillsdale College where they both attended. They both had a passion for books and classical literature and soon became fast friends that turned into more. ;) Josh's parents prayed for a woman like Jenn for him to marry, and being a part of their day was truly wonderful. They were married on a cold Saturday in a beautiful church filled with Christmas charm. 6am Saturday morning Jenn was in the chair getting ready with several of her bridesmaids, where she texted Josh and chatted.

I've known Jenn since birth so it was great to photograph her day. :)

Jenn was so relaxed and happy the day of. She was just so excited to marry Josh and trusted God that everything would go smoothly, which it did! :)

As I was busy with the girls, Dad was over at the church with the guys.

They looked so dapper!

They get a lot of awesome points for bow ties. Big win in my book. :) Such a handsome groom! Josh is in seminary studying to become a pastor, just like his Dad.
Photobucket

Such a good looking group of guys! :)
Photobucket

Josh is such a classically trained, wonderful guy. I was so impressed.

It was so funny when I was editing these to get the stories behind the pictures from Dad. The groomsmen were imitating how they don't have beards in this one. ;)

Josh's Dad is a pastor and did the service. :D

Let's chase after the groom with a huge sword! Hey, why not? ;P

And while Dad did all of those pictures, I was back with the bride!

Jenn's mom gave Jenn a beautiful necklace for her day. :)

First look happiness! So thankful to have a couple who decided to do the first look. Such a tender, sweet moment.

Josh was so excited.

This was the best bridal party with which I have ever worked. We all froze that day in the cold, yet they kept smiling, kept walking, and kept doing everything I asked of them. They were so beautiful, so polite, and amazing to take pictures of. It was truly an honor to see how well they served the bride and groom!

The church was in this beautiful and quaint little town! I wish we had more time there, but i'm so happy with how everything turned out while we were downtown. :)

These girls are rockstars and served Jenn so well. :) Aren't they gorgeous?

This was one of the sweetest moments from the entire day. I walked into the room where all the girls were before the ceremony, and just found Jenn reading Bible verses to the flower girl and her bridesmaids. Brought tears to my eyes. The night before the wedding Jenn said to me, "I'm just going to go back to the hotel and read my Bible and try to sleep, it will be good!" Her heart is so found in God and it just seemed appropriate for everyone who knows her to spend her last minutes single in this way.

Jenn wrote a beautiful speech in Spanish honoring her "Abuelita" where she thanked her for raising her mother, described what Jenn & Josh were saying in their vows, and said how proud she was of her Spanish heritage. Her grandmother doesn't know much English, and it was beautiful to see her honor her "Abuelita" in this way.

This is Jenn's mom who was so grateful as this came as a surprise.

Did I mention that I loved this bridal party? Cause I did. hehehe
Photobucket

In between setting up poses I would go "Ok! Everyone hug Jenn so she stays warm. It's like in March of the Penguins! Hug of warmth guys!" I thought it was so cute. :D

Pretty bridesmaids

They named each table after a favorite author. So unique to them! :)

They are quite the dancers and the first dance was such fun to watch.

Ah, Josh. He is such a classy guy. During the reception he came out with his guy friends and sang acapella songs to Jenn.

One of the songs was "Kiss the Girl" to which he walked himself over to Jenn, (in such an extreme swagger way) and "planted one" on her. Love it!

As the sun set we were graced with a lovely dusting of snow. So beautiful.

Josh & Jenn, thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your day and all the details you put into making it so perfect. This wedding was such a blessing for me to shoot!

Stay Beautiful,
