{Family Love} Remsbergs

This week I shoot the lovely Remsbergs! I've shot them before and it is always so delightful! The day of their shoot was freezing outside with pretty strong winds. Needless to say, this became an indoor shoot. ;) Which was very interesting for me since i've never done a family shoot indoors. Loved the challenge of it!

I think i've got a thing for parents kissing and kids looking away... But when you've got mistletoe how can you not do a shot like this?

The kids are big sports people, so we had to get a "rep-ping my team & the love I have for my sibling" picture. ;) haha





We're a happy family, we smile, we love each other, we're gorgeous. Bam. :D

Portrait Session {Christy}

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day. Last week I did a shoot with Christy, our dear friend, who lives upstairs in one of our apartments. Her color is a "winter" and she'll tell anyone. We've always wanted to do a shoot in the snow, (since she's a winter) and once it started falling I just couldn't pass up taking pictures in crisp, clean, untouched snow. :] In true Christy fashion she showed up with lots of props and a full on party dress. :) Gotta love it! It gave the pictures such an amazing touch.

I really love Christy. She has become a sister to me the past couple months. I've gone to her for advice, for food, ;) for help, for random movie days, and she'll come down and spend time with me all the time. She has such a heart for people and I really admire that!

Waaa-chaa! Somebodies pretty. :D


I love all the whites, it really makes her face pop. :)


Random side note: I almost fell like 50 times during this shoot. Uggs have NO traction in snow. I did so much sliding. :D haha


Narnia, anyone?


Christy totally just came down and said "Let's watch a movie.." and I went "Wait! I'm blogging you right now! Don't look, don't look! It's a surprise!" hahaha :P

I've also become the personal stylist for her. ;) We've gone shopping several times, and i'm always trying to push her out of her "normal". "Christy, normal girls wear skirts with leggings...No, it's really no big deal, you can own it." "You like these? Well gosh you don't have to say it like that!" "Just once, for me, just try a sparkle! They're really fun!" Oh the quotes I could give of the 2 of us. They're pretty good. :D


The whites, the blues, the face. It's a stunner! :)

My family. {Family love} {Personal}

Back when I did the Wilson's shoot, we also snuck in some quick family pictures of our own. Since both Dad & I are photographers, I couldn't bring myself to pay for another photographer to come. :P So, because I have the BEST care group leaders ever, they graciously said they would love to grab a couple pictures for us! I got to posing and they got to shooting! My family is pretty darn amazing. We have nicknames for everyone in the family, there is lots of hugs, a lot of laughter, and a lot of love. Jamey will mock me when i'm complaining, Dad will call me "goob", Mom will listen to Josh Turner with me, and try to put up with all my craziness, and I'll laugh at Jamey when he does random stuff and his excuse is "Because i'm a man." Gooood times. :D

Mom was all "We gotta get a holding hands picture" and I was all like "That is so over played and tacky, Mom." This would be my solution. :P

Okay, so i'm not even gonna try and explain how much I ADORE my brother. There's 7 years between us and he's my favorite boy in the whole wide world. But, anyway, I look like Dad, and he looks like my Mom's side of the family. We pretty much look nothing alike. When I saw these pictures I was SO happy because I finally found a way to show that we are alike! :]

I could have stayed at this location all day. The colors were so amazing!
